I want make a post about my lecture’s book. He said if we want to be a master for anything we must accistomed with it. Let’s check the review about the book in this post.

B. AUTHOR

    Marsigit born in Kebumen on July 19, 1957.  He was graduated masters in London in 1996, and  completed his doctoral program at UGM in 2007. He is my English lecture on this semester. He wrote three books, Mathematics for Junior High School 1-3. He told us, to write his books takes 5 years.

C. PRELIMINARY 

     The book ‘Mathematics for Junior High School 3’ is present as a solution to anyone who want to be able with English and Math, because something that is difficult can be resolved if we are accustomed to deal with it.

D. SYNOPSIS

This book consist of three units and five chapters.  Unit one is Geometry and Measurements, this unit content of two chapters. There are similarity, and three-dimensional curved surfaces shape. Chapter one ‘similarity’ discuss about two congruent plane figures, two similar plane figures, and problem solving that involves the concept of similarity. In chapter two ‘three-dimensional curved surfaces shape’ discuss about cylinder, cone, and sphere.

Unit two is Statistics and Probability, this unit just content of one chapter statistics and probability. This chapter discuss about statistics and probability. Unit three is Numbers, this unit content of two chapters.  There are exponents and roots, and number sequences and series. Chapter four ‘exponents and roots’ discuss about exponents and roots. Chapter five ‘number sequences and series’ discuss about paterns of numbers, number sequences, and number series.

Every chapter has exercise, in chapter three has evaluation for chapter 1-3, and in chapter five has evaluation for chapter 4-5, final evaluation and national examination. The exercise not only in every chapter, but also in every section.

E. EXCESS 

       I think that the publication of this book is a positive thing for education, especially in Indonesia. This is due to the small number of textbooks that use bilingual system. This book is useful for all people especially students, teachers, and lectures. Besides add knowledge about mathematics we can enrich our vocabbulary. This book can support the ability of our English language, because language can be as familiar. Something that can be mastered if  we are accustomed to. 

F. WEAKNESS 

        The size of the relatively large bilingual books can inhibit the groth of students. This book is good if has the pdf version. To be more awake benefits.
